POPSAbout Sufi Whirling I actually really enjoyed this explanation about the whirling tradition. The little bit of exploration into sufism I have done, leads me to "feel" this is the closest spiritual practice to "be thou like a little child" and children whirl for no reason - just the sheer joy of whirling.

POPSOmar Khayyam - Rubaiyat Found the video first and remembered the book of poetry I had many years ago. I have a natural fascination for the sufi dancers. Children dance like this all the time and whilst mainstream Islam may not have a great name the Sufis have always felt "wondrous" to me. And if you have ever tried dancing like this - I totally understand why they do it!!! It's BLISS creating on a "feeling level".
