POPSSingularity by 2045 - incredible life in a tamed world Other possible advancements from 2050 to 2100 could include colonies on Moon, Mars and beyond, finding and harnessing wormholes that break “light speed” barriers in extraterrestrial travel, and whisking information through time to meet ourselves at an earlier age, or go forward and see what the future has in store for us. It may even become possible to gather scanned minds from lost loved ones before their death enabling them to continue living in our time. How wild would that be?

POPSTop 10 Ways to Trick Yourself into Saving Money Anyone who says "how about just having some willpower, huh?" can either A) provide proof that they have NEVER done ANYTHING foolish, impulsive, or irrational relating to money, or B) shut up and stop lecturing. Mote, beam, eye. Despite what economic textbooks say, humans are not rational actors. We are not maximizers, we are satisficers. Blaming people for not having superhuman self-control and reasoning power is, well, blaming people for not being superhuman. Point 6 seems silly, though. There are so many credit card transactions that can be made just using the number, not the physical card, I have a hard time seeing how it would help.

POPSBionic implants raise ethical question What's the difference between a bionic ear, and an artificial leg, a kidney dialysis machine a heart valve or a breast implant ? They're all artificial substitutions. I have trouble finding the reason for anyone but the recipient to judge. As for the fear of 'superhuman' capabilities It is just a matter of taking the next step and substituting the brain. Then there's a robot/cyborg with absolutely no ethics, just a command chain, but a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. When is the public ever listened to anyway ? Perhaps we should ask a deaf philosopher.
