POPSThe Anointed One Ventured Forth To Bring Light Unto The World
In the great Battles of Caucus and Primary he smote the conniving Hillary, wife of the deposed King Bill the Priapic and their barbarian hordes of Working Class Whites. And so it was, in the fullness of time, before the harvest month of the appointed year, the Child ventured forth - for the first time - to bring the light unto all the world. He travelled fleet of foot and light of camel, with a small retinue that consisted only of his loyal disciples from the tribe of the Media. He ventured first to the land of the Hindu Kush, where the Taleban had harboured the viper of al-Qaeda in their bosom, raining terror on all the world. And the Child spake and the tribes of Nato immediately loosed the Caveats that had previously bound them. And in the great battle that ensued the forces of the light were triumphant. For as long as the Child stood with his arms raised aloft, the enemy suffered great blows and the threat of terror was no more. YouTube video 6:13

POPSarmed services This is an interesting survey. I wonder if similar ones have been carried out on other services and if so, will they be shown to public?

POPSThe Day in Pictures 7 July 2008 Just seemed like your average day. After a while you realize there's no such thing. I like the way the Russians celebrate the summer solstice Every day has more than one story. Every story has more than one writer, with more than one thing to say.

POPS'cowardly and unprovoked attack' USA Friends A group of militants attacked the coalition troops as they were retreating and American assault helicopters came to their aid, killing eight insurgents. However, some of the missiles hit the Pakistani checkpoint and destroyed it. This was the most Pakistani soldiers killed in an attack by US-led coalition forces, and Islamabad used its strongest language yet to condemn the American actions as violating its sovereignty. “We will take a stand for sovereignty, integrity and self-respect and we will not allow our soil ,” Yousaf Raza Gilani, the Prime Minister, told Parliament. “The violent attack hit at the very basis of co-operation and sacrifice with which Pakistani soldiers are supporting the coalition forces,” Major-General Athar Abbas, the chief military spokesman, said. He denied that the insurgents had struck from Pakistan or that there had been any attack launched from the border post.

POPSTaliban Attacking Cell Towers A cell tower is sadly much easier to attack than an underground line. But turning off your cell phone at night as obviously the easiest way to avoid an attack. The Register speculates that the phone company attacks are actually just a display of power on an easy target.

POPSKilling Missionaries - Travesty or Fair Game? Not to suggest in anyway that it is not unfortunate that these two South Koreans lost their lives, but I don't think anyone can say they can't figure out how oh how this all could ever happen. Lets face it you go into a Taleban hotbed promoting a religious Islamic state and you try to convert people to Christianity thinking you'll survive on Christ love alone occupational risks be damned - Guess what Jesus may love you but he ain't Rambo - you're on your own. Seriously when someone commits the act of disrespecting other cultures in order to propagate one's own ideology in a war zone where battle lines are drawn on ideologies, are these people victims? Or are they instead casualties to their cause? Perhaps it is time to reevaluate these global church institutions - are they really selfless? are they really performing humanitarian work? and when they get people killed are they responsible? No offense meant, and all comments welcome
