POPSMP still keen to be shot with Taser Anything for votes. A politician with no brains power. Nothing new in that. Maybe SM? Doesn't look like a SM freak, but who knows (outside her immediate circle of friends)

POPSCanadian police adopt new stun-gun directive Taser International says the risk of a cardiac arrest in connection with Taser use is low, but if this were to happen after the weapon hits the chest area, it would place police and the company in the "difficult situation of trying to ascertain what role, if any, the Taser ECD could have played in a unique situation that cannot be replicated in human clinical safety evaluations." Wink wink, nudge nudge

POPSParty of Hope, Change and Beatdowns • Obama discussing ACORN support: "I don't want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I'm angry!" • Obama to his paid ACORN mercenaries (on the taxpayer dime, no less): "Hit Back Twice As Hard" Consider: this is happening now, a little more than a year before the midterm elections and three years from the Presidential election. And the precedent for tolerating voter intimidation at the polls has been set. Folks, I'll be frank. I don't have a good feeling about this.

POPSTaser Shotguns - Are they safe? Now there's the famous question: "Aren't they supposed to hurt?" Well, I myself think they should redesign the cartridge, if the point of stun guns is to debilitate the target, then maybe these 5 minutes of unceasing shock is not such a good idea if they'll need the victim "healthy" and sane afterwards. Anyway, wireless stun guns may come in handy to the authorities and whoever needs them. And they're always good, as they don't kill people. :)

POPSTaser-crazy cops becoming global epidemic Last month in Canada, a judge called for tighter control of Taser guns after controversy over a death of an airline passenger in 2007. Last Saturday, one of the most influential Hispanic organizations in the United States, the League of United Latin American Organizations, called for the end of Taser guns in police departments across the country, claiming that the blacks and Hispanics are the most common groups Tasered. And the BBC yesterday published a piece on how Taser incidents have been on the rise in the United Kingdom. Police departments insist that the taser is a good tool that keeps the officer safe, keeps the citizens safe and saves lives. Who do they think they are kidding?

POPSLet's Play Tazer The Drunk at the Ball Park That cop goes for his tazer at 0:37. 1:05 from approaching him to tazing him. That's disgusting. If three cops can't take even two minutes to figure out how to handle a relatively calm drunk without the use of a tazer, they shouldn't be cops. I hope he sues each of their asses and they loose their badges to boot.

POPSIdaho police sodomize man with Taser
There is a case in Florida where a group of 14-year-old boys are going to be tried as adults because they sodomized one of their classmates with broomsticks and hockey sticks. These are cops in this case. Should be treated any differently? After an internal investigation, police determined that the first officer violated the department’s use-of-force policy. And the second officer violated department policy when he erased the taped interview. They have been “disciplined” and are to receive more training. This was a deviant and sadistic act. No amount of ‘training’ is going to suppress the trigger that allowed this individual to resort to this type of inhumane treatment. What is additionally disgusting is that none of the other cops present tried to stop this. It is unconscionable that police will allow this individual back on the street with only a slap on the wrist. I used to have respect for cops. Now I am scared to death and on guard whenever near a cop. Fear is no
