thisnamecantbetaken
by thisnamecantbetaken  11-6-2009
Transference is that period of transition between one life and the next that occurs just before, during, and after death. The video discussions greatly help convey the intent and meaning of the book since they are in terms more easily understood by the western world. You can access the video by clicking links that will appear along the left side of the pages as you read through the book.

Convert The UN Building Into NYC Homeless Shelter
merrie
by merrie  10-27-2009
wallowing in desperate poverty, with crime so rampant and violent that the police won’t even venture into them. And you have the nerve to come here and investigate us ? The United Nations has become nothing less than a shabby podium used by corrupt third-world demagogues to do what they could never do in any other way - attempt to destroy and bring into disrepute the United States. We’re being nibbled to death by ducks. And we’re letting it happen. Not only that, we’re paying for it. I’d like to see the Obama Administration tell the U.N. to pound sand (but they won’t). Take your investigation to somewhere that needs it, and that list is endless. North Korea, Darfur, Tibet, Cuba….I could go on almost ad infinitum about third world hell holes where people have no rights whatsoever, where food is something that may or may not come your way today - or tomorrow. Where “housing” consists of whatever you can scrape together to try to keep out the cold, where women . .

Obama Snubs Dalai Lama to Please China
disenchantedcitizen
by disenchantedcitizen  10-9-2009    1
Obama is scared of China and he thinks that by snubbing the Dalai Lama this will somehow show China the U.S. knows how to choose its friends? This is a disgusting display of kowtowing. And Obama won the Nobel prize for what? Oh yeah, "Extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples."

What goes around comes around.... I guess Candidate Obama told Bush to use the Olympics' opening ceremony as a diplomatic pressure point against the Chinese. Wasn't it Bush that got Chicago on the short list to begin with? The Olympic committee isn't going to give President Obama a chance to take his own advice in 2016..

Empire State Building Lit For Chi-Coms Draws Protesters
merrie
by merrie  10-1-2009    6
Lhadon Tethong, executive director of Students for a Free Tibet, called the lighting "outright, blatant approval for a communist totalitarian system." "It’s a great public relations coup for the Chinese state," Tethong said as tourists gawked at the protesters. "But on the other hand, it’s sure to backfire because the American public and the global public will speak against it." At the lobby ceremony, building manager Joseph Bellina called the lights a high honor and said he was proud of the relationship between "our countries and our people." Chinese Consul General Peng Keyu, who pulled the switch on the glass-encased model, said he was "honored and delighted." He said China’s reforms of the past 30 years have led to greater openness and "tremendous change." Keyu and Bellina didn’t address critics and declined to answer questions… Rep. Peter King, a New York Republican, said it was "a sad day for New York."
