Do You Notice Anything Shrivelling? by Mark Steyn

. . . who conceive through donor sperm are getting it from the United States, mainly from men in Georgia and northern Florida. Canada’s future is now in American hands. You know how it is: you wait ages for a good sperm story and then they all come at once. It seems there’s also a shortage of the stuff in Sweden. But, in contrast to Canada, this is caused not by government intervention in supply but by a surge in demand, from Swedish lesbian couples anxious to conceive. So they headed off to the sperm clinic, whereupon the Sapphic demand ran into the problem of male inability to satisfy it. There appear to be higher than usual levels of non-functioning sperm. It’s a widespread problem: “Concern As Sperm Count Falls By A Third In UK Men” (the Daily Mail, 2004). Don’t ask me why: I’d blame Tony Blair’s cozying up to Bush were it not for "Sperm Counts Drops 25 Per Cent In Younger Men" (the Independent , 1996), so maybe it was John Major pulling out of the . . .

Tony Blair, British Petroleum And The Lockerbie Deal
merrie
by merrie  8-25-2009    2
He put compassion for the oil industry ahead of any compassion for my daughter, for the families of all those people killed by a convicted mass murderer and terrorist. It just shows that the power of oil money counts for more than justice.' It sure does. Khadaffi paid out about $1.5 billion in compensation to the victims of the Lockerbie bombing - and then got most of it back in exchange for a deal allowing access to Libya's oil. With the freeing of al-Megrahi, and probably the non-prosecution of whomever it was that fired that shot from inside the Libyan embassy in London that murdered policewoman Yvonne Fletcher while she was patrollingin front of it in 1984, the deal's complete. I think blood money is a pretty appropriate term. And if you look at how al-Megrahi was received back home in Libya as a hero and role model , I can almost guarantee you that there will be a further cost to this whole endeavor in the future. What's Behind Birthers' Obama Belief
chestnut501
by chestnut501  8-17-2009    4
"Research done by Harvard's Mahzarin Banaji and San Diego State's Thierry Devos into what's called "implicit social cognition" reveals that white Americans inherently regard white Europeans as somehow more "American" than Asian- or African-Americans, which may help explain why so many people find it easy to believe that President Obama is not really a citizen."

more: Braveheart, 1995 Not only was the Scottish hero William Wallace gruesomely executed in 1305, having been captured by the English at Falkirk, but seven centuries later his memory was exhumed, smeared with blue face paint and mutilated by Mel Gibson. Wallace was not the poor villager the film depicts, but a landowner and minor knight. The litany of fibs extends from Wallace’s love interest (Queen Isabella would have been about two-years-old at the time) to his kilt – a garment not developed for another three centuries. The historian Sharon L. Krossa likens it to “a film about Colonial America showing the colonial men wearing 20th century business suits.”

Michael Oren is Israel's ambassador to the US. He is also an IDF veteran and a historian of some note. His book, Power, Faith, and Fantasy covers the two-hundred-years US history of relations with Arab/Muslim nations. His article here of course is in support of Netanyahu's policy towards the West Bank. That's to be expected since Oren is Netanyayhu's ambassador. But the point is that Oren/Netanyahu have some facts on their side while the Obamoids only have Power, Faith, and Fantasy

Britains experience with a "Health Board"
billpar
by billpar  7-30-2009    3
NICE limited several Alzheimer's drugs to use in patients whose disease had advanced from early to middle-stage. Even though doctors argued that starting treatment at the onset of dementia would be most effective in slowing the progression of the disease, NICE decided that patients would have to wait until they became sick enough for the treatments to meet the cost-effectiveness threshold. NICE blocked access to Glivec, a leukemia treatment. Ann Tittley, a 55-year-old patient, was being treated for breast cancer when she was diagnosed with leukemia. After realizing she would be denied access to Glivec even though her physician had recommended she start it immediately, Ms. Tittley wrote a letter to then-Prime Minister Tony Blair.

13 Doctors Demand Inquest Into Dr David Kelly's Death
thisnamecantbetaken
by thisnamecantbetaken  7-12-2009    3
Mr Halpin said that he lost more than 6,000 pieces of correspondence - many relating to Dr Kelly - during his investigation, explaining that the mystery began when the 'firewall' on his computer, which all similar machines are fitted with as a security measure, became inactive without warning. His emails started disappearing as though they were being sifted remotely. 'I believe this will have been done by a state-sponsored agency and not by an amateur acting singly,' he said. Dr Kelly's death may have been linked to the secret world of germ warfare research. Until his death Dr Kelly was privy to some of the state's most sensitive information and worked closely with the intelligence services of all the major industrialised countries.

7/7 London Terror Attack, "Ripple Effect" Theory Goes Viral on Anniversary
blueridge
by blueridge  7-7-2009    1
Mainstream News in UK.. "Ripple Effect" is the online video (here) and DVD that makes it very clear the official story of 7/7/2005 (note 7/7/7) is government propaganda with solid refuting evidence. This article calls it a "dangerous video", while printing some of the details on the front page. The man who produced the video was arrested some time ago because he mailed a copy to the Judge on the trial of the only terror suspect (patsy as the film shows). The film is worth watching, hypothesizing "motive, means, opportunity" with evidence, and points to Peter Power's terror excercise that day, MI5, and Mossad, along with Blair using the BBC as a mouthpiece of scripted propaganda.

Ludicrous Diversion (7/7 London Bombing Documentary)
Spiritualmonkey
by Spiritualmonkey  7-7-2009
The British authorities have, within my living memory, a history of fabricating evidence and falsely convicting people of bombings. See the Birmingham Six , the Guildford Four/Maguire Seven , Judith Ward , Danny McNamee . They also executed Jean Charles de Menezes on the street with a bullet to the head. Their record in regards to terrorism is not the shiniest.
