The document revoked the default standing orders to shoot down errant or hijacked aircraft and instructed them instead to stand down until they were given orders by the President, Vice President or Secretary of Defense." So, the President, Vice President or Secretary of Defense could have given an order to shoot down the hijacked planes, to protect America, but they failed to do so. Doesn't that make you wonder why? Does the presence of Vice President Dick Cheney's Wife and other staff members in the secure Presidential Emergency Operations Center bunker before 9:25 A.M. on 9/11/01 indicate that the VP knew that something extraordinary and dangerous was going to be happening that morning and that they needed to be in a secure place?
