Patch Adams hospital - Gesundheit - still not built but such an answer for community based services
iliasben
by iliasben  8-22-2008
There will be 30,000 square feet devoted to the arts in a fully arts-centered hospital. There will be a school for social change and in-depth agricultural programs. Staff persons who've served for four years and want a little distance from the intensity of the hospital can create their fantasy living space in our village. I want to tell all readers that the journey has been heavenly all along the way. Simply being in an idealist quest is its own reward. I've never felt I've sacrificed anything or thought it was a hard journey. Hard would have been having to work in corporate medicine and lie to patients and myself every day. My concern for humanity's future drives me to want to put whatever efforts I can to changing everything that hurts people and nature. The Gesundheit! Institute is that for me, and so many others.

Xziex Atmospheric Water Generators
Xziex
by Xziex  7-23-2008
The XZIEX Machine provides an inexpensive, limitless source of the original “health drink” nicknamed “the fountain of youth” for it’s ability to improve your energy, increase your physical and mental performance, eliminate toxins and waste, aid digestion, help you lose weight and keep your heart healthy, and make your skin radiate health. The XZIEX Machine creates fresh clean water out of thin air by extracting water from the humidity found naturally in Earth’s atmosphere. Since there are billions of gallons of water recycling in the atmosphere every day, the perpetual supply is limitless and accessible almost everywhere in the world. The XZIEX Machine extracts the water through a sophisticated condensation process and sends it through a series of state-of-science purifiers. The unprecedented technology removes all inorganic materials, undesirable odors and tastes, particulate matter smaller than .01 microns, and all forms of bacteria, metals, minerals, viruses and other elements that

Watermelon: Three Juicy Benefits
merrie
by merrie  7-23-2008    2
Watermelon: Best Not Chilled Ice-cold watermelon on a steamy summer day really hits the spot. But you'll be best served by keeping it on your countertop until cutting time. Whole watermelons stored at room temperature deliver more cell-protecting antioxidants (specifically lycopene and beta carotene) than refrigerated or freshly picked melons. Here's why A Chilling Effect After it's picked, watermelon continues to ripen and build up antioxidants. Cold temperatures appear to cut this process short. So leave your watermelon out, as long as you haven't sliced it. After it's cut, it should be stored in the refrigerator for food-safety reasons. And don't forget to wash your watermelon before cutting it to avoid this.

U.S. Terrorism Watch Tops 1 Million
blueridge
by blueridge  7-15-2008    1
This over-the-top dragnet has included people like Sen. Kennedy, Kat Stevens, and recently a former federal prosecutor! 50,000 individuals are included on the Transportation Security Administration "no-fly" or "selectee" lists that subject them to travel bans, arrest or additional screening. The Justice Department's former top criminal prosecutor says the government's terror watch list likely has caused thousands of innocent Americans to be questioned, searched or otherwise hassled. Former Assistant Attorney General Jim Robinson would know: he's one of them. More than 30,000 airline passengers had asked the Homeland Security Department to clear their names from the list as of October 2006.

What is very revealing is how he treats the spouses of the men who were MIA or believed to be POW. He has no compassion for them at all. I think he wants these POW to stay missing for fear that one of them may remember what he did as a POW.

"Dr. Mario Lacouture, the director of Northwestern’s Cancer Skin Care Program, sometimes treats skin conditions caused by targeted therapies with prescription corticosteroids and antibiotics. He will soon begin a study of over-the-counter products to see which best ameliorate side effects of targeted therapies. (Lindi Skin gave a $65,000 contribution to his research.)"
