Here, the affected process is the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) hosting process, PresentationHost.exe. While the vulnerability is in an IE component, there is an attack vector for Firefox users as well. The reason is that .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installs a “Windows Presentation Foundation” plug-in in Firefox. Now, Microsoft’s security folks are actually recommending that Firefox users uninstall the buggy add-on: For Firefox users with .NET Framework 3.5 installed, you may use “Tools”-> “Add-ons” -> “Plugins”, select “Windows Presentation Foundation”, and click “Disable" This introduction of vulnerabilities in a competing browser is a colossal embarrassment for Microsoft. The programs that should be up for consideration for uninstalling would be programs that you either don’t need or rarely use. POPSWARNING!!!: Vista SP2 not compatible with ESET Nod32 Products Follow the link to the ESET website for a link to their knowledge base article for what you can do if you have already installed Vista SP2. Not an ideal solution (uninstall v4.x and install 3.x). Don't know if you can just uninstall Vista SP2 to fix the problem as article does not say and I am not willing to test.

I just un-installed Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 b/c it was creating a conflict with a lot of my other applications. When my Firefox 3.0.8 was re-installed all my settings, addons & BOOKMARKS had disappeared. Fortunately I had made a backup of my bookmarks in "aio" (---otherwise, I would have lost about 3 years worth of bookmarks) I re-installed "aio" and restored my bookmarks. That is just one of many features that I really like!
