POPSUS Catholic have It. Right last 9 Elections!!!
This sort of social thinking and preoccupation with social solidarity and a "preferential option for the poor" are woven into the fabric of even casual parish life. It's this background that has tended to make Catholics swing voters: uncomfortable with the sort of litmus-test left that once kept Pennsylvania's pro-life Democratic governor, Bob Casey, from speaking at a national convention, as well as the talk-show right that assumes opposition to abortion means approving the war in Iraq. There's also an increasing awareness among the Catholic hierarchy that America's political right has consciously used the abortion issue to cut the church off from most of the positions it traditionally holds in American society. That may be one reason that, in its last statement on the political obligations of Catholic voters, the Vatican warned: "The Christian faith is an integral unity, and thus it is incoherent to isolate some particular element to the detriment of the whole of Catholic doctrine

POPS"Pope Returns to Conciliation Between Evangelizing Mission and Ecumenism" On January 31, Benedict XVI received the participants to the Plenary Session of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. In his address, he first recalled the publication by this dicastery of “two important documents which offered doctrinal clarification (…) necessary if the ecumenical dialogue with the world’s religions and cultures is to progress as it should.”

POPSThe Church must be one St. Cyprian (c. 250AD) - "God is one and Christ in one, and one is His Church, and the faith is one, and His people welded together by the glue of concord into a solid unity of body. Unity cannot be rent asunder, nor can the one body of the Church, through the division of its structure, be divided into separate pieces." (On the Unity of the Church, 23) Tertullian (c. 197AD) - "We are a society with a single religious feeling, a single unity of discipline, a single bond of hope," (Apology 39, 1) St. Hilary (c. 4th century) - "In the Scriptures our people are shown to be made one, so that just as many grains collected into one and ground and mingled together, make one loaf, so in Christ, who is the heavenly bread, we know there is one holy, in which our whole company is joined and united" (Treatise 62, 13)

POPSLincoln, the Hypocrite and Thanksgiving--Religious Propaganda to Cover War Crimes
History as taught is a fabrication to indoctrinate into an artificial unity. Lincoln was no more a Christian than was Thomas Paine, the Deist who wrote against the Bible. The real motive behind Lincoln's hypocritical declaration of Thanksgiving (advised by Seward, who was Lincoln's Karl Rove) was, per the above, because "it pleases the fools"--i.e. it was religious propaganda in order to cover up the unlawful, anti-constitutional invasion of the Southern States, the burning of their cities, the rape and pillage of Sherman's army by calling for Thanksgiving. (The parallels between invasion of Iraq and invasion of the South are striking). Lincoln was distrusted by not only the South but many in the North. Christians saw him as a Deist not a Christian as his own words demonstrate. Lincoln, like most of the Presidents, was not a Christian and used religion like a hypocrite for political purposes, not unlike GWB.

POPSPope speaks to Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury The Pope tells it as it is here folks. Anglicans have strayed quite a ways in respect to morals and the ordained ministry over the past forty years or so. I don't have any hope that the Archbishop will be able to do anything (assuming he even wanted to) about thos issues. For the most part the Anglicans have gone way too far and will in many cases need to be treated as converts from a non-christian faith in returning to the Church.
