POPSThe Difference Between Wiki Programs: Free vs Paid The Internet age is enabling forms of business and business management which were never before possible. Entire online industries have sprung up to take advantage of the immense talent pool available online. Of course, anything open to the public suffers from how not everyone out there is on your side - with severe cases of inaccuracy and vandalism sabotaging collaborative projects.

POPS"Joker" Posters: Florida Teenager Charged With Felony Vandalism Jensen said witnesses initially told investigators that a "couple of kids" were responsible for gluing the posters. He said the teenage suspect admitted to affixing dozens of the "hundreds" of posters throughout Clermont, a suburb of Orlando. Dozens of the posters first appeared earlier this month throughout Los Angeles. They portray Obama as Batman's nemesis from "The Dark Knight," with the word socialism printed above and below the president's face. U.S. Postal Inspector Ed Moffitt said Clermont Postmaster Willie Montgomery scraped off the "very, very adhesive" substance used to hang the posters with a pen knife or putty knife, which removed the mailbox's blue paint. The mailbox then had to be primed and repainted, adding to labor costs, which totaled roughly $200. "It wasn't like a Post-It note where you could easily pull it off," Moffitt said. "Nothing's free anymore."

POPSGoose/Gander? Guess It's About Who's Cooked. This article pissed me off. But I was heartened by some of the comments. Some guy does up a poster expressing his opinion and I've seen it all over the place. Personally, I thought it was brilliant. No one had a problem with the anti-Bush, anti-Cheney cartoons and commentary... but I guess that was different. When was the last time - in your memory - that anyone, especially a kid, was taken into custody (but not 'arrested') for a political cartoon posted anywhere? Is satire dead? Is political commentary now a crime? Free speech is now a thing of the past? Or is it that we just can't disagree with the Chosen One? Well, they better come and get me because I don't like the guy, I sure as hell didn't vote for him or any of his cronies and I just might have to put this poster on my lawn.

POPSGeorgia Good Ole Boys Alive and Unwell Local news here but it resonated nation wide. For those in other parts of the US, Smyrna is located in Cobb County. This is the county adjacent to Atlanta that tried to stifle evolution in their public schools. Ignorance and hatred seem to go hand and hand.

POPSBible defacing stunt 'pointless and puerile' The point of the exhibit was the LGBT community writing themselves into their holy book. The vandalism written on the Bible is anti-gay hate. Most of the media coverage misses this.Or is it avoiding?

POPSIt's Alive! It's Alive! I am not sure about the charges, though. "larceny" doesn't really apply, since he didn't take the barrels from their original site, nor does "injury to personal property" apply, since the barrels are not owned by an individual.

POPSHate on the Rise This took me by surprise. Georgia is one of five states that doesn't have laws related to hate crimes. Given the simmering prejudice that is still prevalent here I suppose I'm not too shocked. It took us literally years to rid our state flag of the Rebal flag. All, of course, in the name of "preserving our heritage". Many were not taken in by that particular canard.

POPSObama Speaks Out Against Watermarking Rep. Congressman Paul Broun (R-Ga.) hopes to use the focus on watermarking to spread his own agenda. "Watermarks are the mark of the beast. I want to see them removed from images and I want to see tattoos incorporated into the anti-watermarking bill as well." Controlling watermarking isn't just a problem in the U.S. World leaders have agreed to use military force to rid the world of watermarking--some have even threatened to cut off water supplies to countries that tolerate the harshest watermarking techniques. "If you deprive our citizens of clean images, we will deprive you of the water that is necessary for both watermarking and sustaining your own life" states French President and known consumer of Perrier, Nicolas Sarkozy.

POPSBBC: " biggest toxic dumping scandal of the 21st century" The waste was generated as the result of an oil deal spanning three continents. Trafigura bought a consignment of cheap and dirty heavy oil with a high sulphur content. Instead of putting it through a refinery, Trafigura tried to clean it up, using a do-it-yourself method, so they could sell it on at a massive profit. They used a ship called the Probo Koala which they stationed off Gibraltar as a rough and ready refinery. Caustic soda and a catalyst were added to the oil which reacted with the sulphur and settled to the bottom of the tank. Trafigura were then able to sell the oil, but left with a toxic sludge at the bottom of the tank. The Probo Koala went to Amsterdam where they attempted to unload this sulphurous tar as if it were normal ships' waste, which would have cost a few thousand Euros. ... BBC

POPSWhatever Their Flaws, At Least There Aren't Any Hippies Or, should I restate that as “Ten Features of Left-Wing Protests You Didn’t See At the Tea Parties.” Some of these may have happened in a limited sort of way, but they didn’t characterize the protests the way they do when MoveON, Code Pink, and International ANSWER throw a shindig

POPSBlack Bloc Tactics of a black bloc can include vandalism, rioting and street fighting, demonstrating without a permit, misleading the authorities, assisting in the escape of perpetrators arrested by the police, administering first aid to persons affected by tear gas in areas where protesters are barred from entering, building barricades, and attacking police. However such blocs are not inherently violent; participants often use peaceful methods of protest as well. Although black blocking is usually connected with some form of direct action, some black blocs also participate in wholly symbolic action, as well as actions that fall entirely within traditional definitions of nonviolent protest. Property destruction carried out by black blocs tends to have symbolic significance: common targets include banks, institutional buildings, outlets for multinational corporations, gasoline stations, video-surveillance cameras, and similarly emblematic forms of private property.

POPSIsraeli soldiers report abuses in Gaza "We heard about what appeared to be grave incidents, unjustified fire at civilians and vandalism of property," said Danny Zamir, a retired army officer who heads the academy. "But of more concern was the unbridled contempt and reckless disregard for Palestinians." "I don't think he felt too bad about it, because after all . . . he did his job according to the orders he was given," the squad leader was quoted as saying. "And the atmosphere in general the lives of Palestinians, let's say, are something very, very less important than the lives of our soldiers, so as far as they are concerned they can justify it that way."

POPSIDF Soldiers Admit Atrocities, Gaza War to "Uproot Gentiles" The Israeli soldiers confess and are more honest than Israeli leadership, who remain without conscience. Medical authorities say more than 1,300 Palestinians were killed during Israel's 22-day operation, including some 440 children, 110 women , and dozens of elderly people.... Thirteen Israelis, including three civilians were killed. Note the role of Zionist religious pamphlets during this as a war to "uproot the Gentiles". So it is really not about "democracy" then, by the soldier's report, as Western MSM media always tells us. ...we need to fight to uproot the gentiles who interfere with re-conquering the Holy Land." This is quite a contrast to Rupert Murdoch's speech to American Jewish Committee justifying and calling upon the West to defend Israel unconditionally for the cause of all humanity--except Palestinians.
