POPSIsrael 'has 150 nuclear weapons' Most experts estimate that Israel has between 100 and 200 nuclear warheads, largely based on information leaked to the Sunday Times newspaper in the 1980s by Mordechai Vanunu, a former worker at the country's Dimona nuclear reactor. The US, a key ally of Israel, has in general followed the country's policy of "nuclear ambiguity", neither confirming or denying the existence of its assumed arsenal.

POPSVanunu Seeks Political Asylum in Norway Mordechai Vanunu, Israel, was a subordinate nuclear technician at what proved to be a clandestine nuclear weapons program. Following his convictions he delivered evidence to a London newspaper, the Sunday Times. Israel’s secret police abducted him to Israel, via Rome, in grave violation of the territorial integrity of both Britain and Italy. He was sentenced as a spy to 18 years in prison. During the first 11 1/2 years he was held in strict isolation.

POPSVanunu and Pollard: Hero vs. Spy!!!! I'm the son of a Holocaust Survivor. I am also a Certified Lay Speaker in the Metropolitan District, New York Annual Conference, United Methodist Church. I am considered a Jewish Christian or Christian Jew, whichever you prefer, having been Bar-Mitzvahed in 1970 into the Tribe of Levi . Israel is a foreign nation when it comes to classified material. It had no right to it. It still doesn’t, unless the classifying authority says it does. In the case of the material I was responsible for, that authority is the president of the United States and no one else. Pollard is a traitor and deserves the punishment he is receiving. He is no better than the Walkers or Aldrich Ames. Any efforts to paint him in a heroic light are repugnant and a stain upon responsible American Jewry. Pollard claimed we had a duty to Israel as well as the US. I had no such divided loyalties. Our loyalty is, was and always shall be to the USA, first, last and always.
