The same would be true if you asked a college professor whether higher education should continue to be subsidized, or a farmer or a dairyman whether their products should be subsidized, or a manufacturer whether there should be tariffs and quotas on foreign products that compete with his product. The problem with congressmen producing favors and privileges to all interest groups is that it creates what none of us wants: massive control, numerous dictates and micromanagement of our lives.

The breeze is getting colder and slowly filled with familiar Christmas melodies. Your favorite radio station is playing ‘Silver Bells,’ the mall you frequent with plays a disco version of ‘Jingle Bells,’ the bakeshop and even your bus ride home are playing a variety of Christmas carols. Now you can’t stop yourself from humming some good old Christmas songs and sometimes they just keep on playing in your mind for the rest of the day. Ooops ‘last-song’ syndrome!

POPSThe New York Times is a “Pro-Obama Advocacy Organization”
by an standard a journalistic organization. It is a pro-Obama advocacy organization that every day attacks the McCain campaign, attacks Sen. McCain, attacks Gov. Palin, and excuses Sen. Obama. There is no level of public vetting with regard to Sen. Obama’s record, his background, his past statements. There is no level of outrage directed at his deceitful ads. This is an organization that is completely, totally, 150 percent in the tank for the Democratic candidate, which is their prerogative to be, but let’s not be dishonest and call it something other than what it is. Everything that is read in the New York Times that attacks this campaign should be evaluated by the American people from that perspective, that it is an organization that has made a decision to cast aside its journalistic integrity and tradition to advocate for the defeat of one candidate, in this case John McCain, and advocate for the election of the other candidate, Barack Obama.

POPSMcCain picks Alaska gov as running mate. He's kidding right? So he's 72 today and of course no one wishes anyones death in regard to leaving a country in someones hands in the case of death -- is she it? In his analytical eyes of Obama's inexperience -- she's even less qualified and no ones heard of her to boot.. Is this want we want in case of disaster or at 3am? This is either a stupid political move or they are trying to give the race away! If female Hillary supporters jump onboard with this ticket this shows either of two things -- they are racists and can't except Obama in office or it wasn't about Hillary at all it was gender based.. So what does that say about them? ? Perplexing this is I must say..
